OT Jason Smith Restructures His Contract To Stay With The Rams

A league source has informed MacsFootballBlog.com that Rams RT Jason Smith has agreed to restructure his contract to remain with the team.

Smith’s 2012 salary of $10 million has been reduced to $4 million and includes a $500,000 roster bonus. The final year of his contract will be voided and the Rams can also void the 2013 year as well.

There was a lot of talk that Smith could be released based on his salary figure, but the Rams are apparently willing to give him another chance. St Louis could still add some additional talent to their offensive line during the draft, but Smith figures to be their right tackle heading into training camp.
