Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Packers have claimed G Ethan Cooper off of waivers from the Giants and placed OT Kyle Meadows on waivers Friday.
Cooper, 23, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted out of Indiana (PA) back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Pittsburgh before he was waived at the start of the regular season.
The Giants later signed Cooper to their practice squad before bringing him back on a futures contract this past January. Unfortunately, New York cut Cooper loose on Thursday.
During his college career at Indiana (PA), Cooper started 37 games at left guard and right tackle and was a first-team D-2 All-America as a senior.
Cooper has yet to appear in an NFL game.
