Packers LB Oren Burks Believed To Have Torn Pectoral

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that Packers LB Oren Burks is believed to have a torn pectoral muscle.

According to Demovsky, Burks is scheduled to undergo further testing, but itโ€™s possible the Packers will be looking to replace a starter in their base defense.

Ian Rapoport adds that Green Bay should know if this is a season-ending issue for Burks by early next week.

The Packers have some other options on their roster including Ty Summers, Curtis Bolton and Brady Shelton. Itโ€™s also possible that they could get Josh Jones some more work at linebacker.

Burks, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2018. Heโ€™s in the second year of his four-year, $3,280,756 contract that included an $820,756 signing bonus.

In 2018, Burks appeared in 14 games for the Packers and recorded 22 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

Weโ€™ll have more regarding Burks as the news is available.
