Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Packers are placing LS Taybor Pepper on injured reserve Friday with a broken foot.
- According to Rob Demovsky, the Packers are signing LS Derek Hart to a contract.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that they were concerned about the injury so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.
This happens to be the second long snapper the Packers have placed on injured reserve this year.
Pepper, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Michigan State last year and wasn’t signed to a contract for the 2017 season. The Packers did, however, sign Pepper to a future/reserve contract this past January.
However, Green Bay elected to cut Pepper loose shortly after this year’s NFL draft. The Ravens signed him to a contract in late August but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Packers re-signed him following the injury to Brett Goode.
In 2017, Pepper appeared in four games for the Packers.
