The Green Bay Packers officially re-signed CBÂ Keith Baxter to their practice squad on Wednesday.
This comes after Green bay promoted CB Herb Waters to their active roster and placed CBÂ Makinton Dorleant on injured reserve.
The Packers’ practice squad now consists of:
- TEÂ Devon Cajuste (Injured)
- OLB Reggie GilbertÂ
- G Lucas PatrickÂ
- CBÂ Keith Baxter
- DT Brian Price
- C Jacob Flores
- RB Brandon Burks
- DB Jermaine Whitehead
- LB Derrick Mathews
- WRÂ Max McCaffrey
- WR Antwan Goodley
The Packers are really hurting at cornerback, so it makes plenty of sense for them to bolster their depth at the position.
Baxter, 24, signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall. Unfortunately, he was waived at the start of the preseason.
It wasn’t until October that the Packers added him to their practice squad. However, he lasted just two days in Green Bay before he was once again cut loose.
During his four-year college career, Baxter recorded 67 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery, three interceptions and eight pass defenses.
