The Green Bay Packers announced that they’ve re-signed G Kofi Amichia to a futures contract.
The Packers have now signed six players to futures contracts since the season ended including:
- WR Jake Kumerow
- WR Colby Pearson
- TE Robert Tonyan
- LS Zach Triner
- WR DeAngelo Yancey
- Gย Kofi Amichia
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Amichia, 23, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft by the Packers. He signed a four-year, $2.53 million contractย and was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Packers cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Packers later signed him to their practice squad where he remained for the duration of the season.
