The Green Bay Packers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed first-round CBย Jaire Alexanderย to a four-year rookie contract.

Alexander, 21, was taken with the No. 18 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Packers. According to OverTheCap.com, he receives a $12,092,586ย contract that includes a $6,874,608 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Packers to pick up in 2021. It’s worth mentioning that the fifth-year option is only guaranteed for injury and won’t prevent the two parties from working on a long-term extension.
During his three-year college career at Louisville, Alexander recorded 77 total tackles, two tackles for loss, seven interceptions, 15 pass defenses, one fumble recovery, and one forcedย fumble.
