According to OverTheCap.com, Savage receives a four-year, $12,517,692 rookie contract that includes $7,123,776 signing bonus.

Lance Zierlein compares Savage Jr to S Lamarcus Joyner. He was a three-year starter and initially played cornerback before transitioning to safety in 2016. Most draft analysts had him as a mid-round prospect in this year’s draft.

During his four-year college career at Maryland, Savage Jr recorded 182 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, 13 pass defenses and a fumble recovery over the course of 40 games.
