Packers Sign WR Allen Lazard To Active Roster

According to Matt Schneidman, the Packers are promoting WR Allen Lazard from the practice squad to the active roster. 

Lazard takes the place of TE Jace Sternberger who was just placed on injured reserve. 

Lazard, 23, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Jaguars, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Jaguars later re-signed Lazard to their practice squad after he cleared waivers. The Packers signed Lazard to their active roster in December. 

In 2018, Lazard appeared in one game for the Packers and caught one pass for seven yards.
