Packers Signing S Adrian Amos To Four-Year, $37M Deal

The Packers are signing former Bears safety Adrian Amos to a contract, according to Ian Rapoport

  • According to Adam Schefter, the Packers have signed Amos to a four-year, $37 million deal that includes $14 million in year one and $21 million in first two years of deal.

This comes shortly after the news that Green Bay is expected to sign former Ravens OLB Za’Darius Smith.

Clearly, the Packers are looking to reshape their defense and add players to what has been a disappointing unit for a few years now.

Amos, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year contract worth $2.512 million and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2018, Amos appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 73 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 8 safety out of 93 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
