Packers Waive CB Derrick Jones With Failed Physical Designation

Rob Demovksy reports that the Packers have waived CB Derrick Jones with a failed physical designation on Tuesday.

Jones, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.54 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season.

The Jets made the decision to waive Jones this past weekend and he was later claimed by the Packers. 

For his career, Jones has appeared in four games and recorded three tackles and no interceptions over the course of two seasons.
