Packers Work Out 5 Players Including WR Denarius Moore

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers brought in five players for workouts on Monday including veteran WR Denarius Moore.

Green Bay also worked out QB Matt Behrendt, CB Brandon McGee, WR Larry Pinkard, and WR Ify Umodu.

Moore, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Raiders before signing a one-year deal with the Bengals during the offseason.

He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts, but later caught on with the Bills before being cut loose last week.

This season, Moore has appeared in five games, totaling 70 kick return yards and 77 punt return yards.

McGee was made a fifth-round pick in the 2013 by the Rams. He was released in September and put on the team’s practice squad. McGee was then signed by the Giants on Oct. 15 and was released two weeks later on Oct. 31.

Behrendt led UW-Whitewater to a pair of Division 3 national championships in 2013 and 2014. He went undrafted in the 2015 draft and worked out for the Vikings in May.

  1. If they sign Moore, I would think it’s a signal that Janis is going to start getting a lot more reps. Better yet .. Quarless has returned to practice and is able to be activated soon!

    • Adams does not suck he’s pressing right now. He needs to relax and go out and have fun. He has to realize that he does not have to be the hero every week. Don’t forget Jerry Rice had the dropsies the first half of his rookie year. Not saying he’s Jerry Rice but he is a better receiver than how he is performing at the moment . He’s a #2 receiver not a #1. Ted does not draft #1’s.

      • Only half kidding. After the SB loss to Denver GB should have traded Favre and Levens. Instead they kept Favre and ended up getting nothing but grief from him. They overpaid Levens to justify the sales tax. Think about it.

        • Wow. You truly are ignorant to football speak. I’ve been a packer fan all my life, and have never seen such grief for a team that is 7-4. There are plenty of teams that would love to be 7-4.
Go be a patriots fan or something

          • I was a Packer fan when they still played at Old City Stadium which was our, East High’s, football field. Your paradigms are grim.

        • Two thoughts on Rodgers. Thought number one: He’s as healthy as can be expected for any QB his age which isn’t old. Mobility, check. Arm velocity, check. Leg speed, check. Thought number two: For the last month Rodgers has been off by his standards, but I see nothing to consider a changing of the guard. I think the Packers have the best QB in the league, and only Newton, Palmer, a healthy Manning and Brady are even in the same ballpark this season. And as great as those QB’s are I would pick Rodgers to be my QB if I had the choice right now, this Sunday, and every Sunday for the next five years, over anybody else.
