Would The Panthers Really Bring Back Jake Delhomme?

Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil seems to think so considering that he tweeted “Bring Jake Back” the other day.

Jake Delhomme‘s best asset is his leadership which is something that a Panthers team could use considering that their quartebacks consist of Jimmy Clausen and Cam Newton who have a combined one year of NFL experience and that one year was pretty terrible to say the least. The Browns would have to release him before he can look to sign with a new team so the idea remains very speculative.

ESPN’s Pat Yasinskas see’s idea as a decent option but mentions that Delhomme would have to be willing to except being a backup rather than the teams starter.

The idea isn’t all that far-fetched but there are some obstacles to overcome before it can be strongly considered.
