The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that they’ve claimed DE Arthur Miley off of waivers from the Dolphins and waived S Dean Marlowe with an injury designation.
Should Marlowe pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Wednesday.
Miley, 24, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Southern University back in May of 2015. He was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury at the start of his rookie season.
The Panthers once again cut him loose coming out of the preseason later and it wasn’t until January that he signed a future/reserve contract with the Dolphins. However, he was waived on Monday to make room for Jay Cutler.
Miley has yet to appear in an NFL game.
