Adam Schefter reports that the Panthers claimed WR Donte Moncrief off of waivers from the Steelers on Monday.
Moncrief, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Colts back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.745 million contract before agreeing to a one-year, $9.6 million fully-guaranteed with the Jaguars last year.
Moncrief signed a two-year deal with the Steelers back in March, but was waived last week to protect the team’s projected compensatory pick for losing Le’Veon Bell in free agency.
In 2019, Moncrief appeared in five games for the Steelers and recorded four receptions for 18 yards (4.5 YPC) and no touchdowns.
