On Friday, Panthers DE Julius Peppers announced that he’s retiring from the NFL.

Peppers, 39, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2002. He played eight seasons for the Panthers before joining the Bears in 2010.
Peppers spent three years with the Packers before returning to the Panthers in 2017.
For his career, Peppers recorded 724 tackles, 159.5 sacks, 52 forced fumbles, 21 fumble recoveries, 11 interceptions and six defensive touchdowns over the course of 17 seasons. He was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and made three first-team All-Pro squads.
Peppers is a first-ballot Hall of Famer once eligible.
