The Carolina Panthers officially designated DE Ryan Delaire as the player to return from injured reserve on Monday.
This officially opens a three-week window for Delaire to be activated from injured reserve.
Delaire, 25, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months with the Buccaneers before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Redskins’ practice squad.
The Panthers would later sign him to their active roster and he finished out the year in Carolina.
In 2016, Delaire has appeared in two games for the Panthers and recorded two tackles and no sacks.
