The Carolina Panthers announced Monday that they’ve signed RB Rodney Smith to their practice squad.

- RB Rodney Smith
Smith, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Minnesota back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Panthers but was cut loose coming out of the preseason.
Carolina brought Smith back in for a workout last week.
During his college career, Smith recorded 879 rushing attempts for 4,125 yards (4.7 YPC) and 29 touchdowns, to go along with 65 receptions for 521 yards receiving (8.0 YPC).
