Panthers May Try To Sign LT Jordan Gross To A Short-Term Deal

According to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer, it’s “very possible” that impending free agent LT Jordan Gross could sign a one or two-year contract with the Panthers that will allow them to find a long-term prospect at the position.

Gross, 33, restructure his contract to free up some additional cap space for the Panthers last year and has said that he would only consider playing for Carolina.

Without a long-term replacement on the roster, it would be very tough to replace Gross, especially when you consider that Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 3 left tackle in the league this past season.

Gross has reportedly considered retirement, so we’ll have to see if the Panthers are able to convince him to return for another season.

We have him listed as the No. 28 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
