The Carolina Panthers officially placed DT Destiny Vaeao on injured reserve Wednesday and waived LB Jonathan Celestin and OT Norman Price from injured reserve with settlements.
Vaeao, 25, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State back in 2016. He was in the final year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract when the Eagles waived Vaeao with an injury designation.
Vaeao later reverted to the Eagles’ injured reserve list before being released with an injury settlement. From there, he signed on to the Jets’ practice squad and was later promoted to the active roster.
The Panthers signed Vaeao to a contract this past April.
In 2018, Vaeao appeared in six games for the Eagles and recorded two total tackles and one sack.
