The Carolina Panthers announced Saturday that they’ve promoted DE Zach Moore to their active roster and placed OT John Theus on injured reserve.
Moore, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in May of 2014. He lasted just over a year in New England before he was at the start of the season and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad.
Minnesota wound up cutting Moore loose coming out of the preseason last year and he later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad. Dallas placed him on waivers towards the end of last year and he was later claimed by the 49ers.
San Francisco cut Moore loose soon after this year’s draft and he was later claimed by the Panthers. After being unable to make their 53-man roster, the Panthers later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.
In 2016, Moore has appeared in one game but has not recorded a statistic.
