Joe Person is reporting on Twitter that Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart missed his third consecutive practice on Friday.
Stewart is listed as questionable for the Panthers’ opening tilt of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, having not practiced all week, and looks more likely to be off the field on Sunday than on it.
With Stewart not looking like a factor against Tampa Bay, it should mean DeAngelo Williams carries the load. Carolina also have Mike Tolbert on the RB depth chart.
