Panthers Restructure The Contracts Of TE Greg Olsen & S Haruki Nakamura

Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com reports that the Panthers alsoย restructured the contract of safetyย Haruki Nakamuraย on Friday.

While not a major move, they managed toย free up close to $500,000 afterย Nakamuraโ€™sย base salary was reduced from $1.3 million to $715,000. Carolina gaveย Nakamuraย a $65,000 signing bonus along with a workout bonus of $35,000.

This reduces hisย cap figure from $1.633 million to $1.115 million.

Nakamura has been mentioned as a potential release candidate, but the Panthers appear to ย have him in their 2013 plans.
