The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CB Josh Hawkins to their practice squad and placed DE Kiante Anderson on the injured list.
The Panthers’ practice squad now consists of:
- QB Kyle Allen
- RB Reggie Bonnafon
- WR Mose Frazier
- TE Jason Vander Laan
- G Taylor Hearn
- OL Dorian Johnson
- DE Kiante Anderson (Injured)
- DT Kendrick Norton
- CB Cole Luke
- S Dezmen Southward
- CB Josh Hawkins
Hawkins, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two seasons in Green Bay, but was cut loose this past weekend.
In 2017, Hawkins appeared in 15 games for the Packers and recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and six pass defenses.
