The Panthers have signed G Trai Turner to contract extension that will keep him in Carolina for another four years.
- Adam Schefter reports that Turner receives a four-year,ย $45 million extension from the Panthers that includesย $20.5 million guaranteed and will have $11.25 million per year.

This move comes just 24 hours after the Panthers brought back former GM Marty Hurney on an interim basis, so it didn’t take long for him to start working on new contracts.
Turner was clearly a priority for the team and should come away with an impressive contract.
Turner, 23 is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.79 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $690,000 before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent next March.
In 2016, Turner made his second consecutive Pro Bowl and appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers. He rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 47 guard out of 72 qualifying players.
