The Panthers announced Thursday they’ve signed undrafted free agents K Joey Slye and G Rishard Cook to the active roster.
To make room, Carolina waived G Dorian Johnson and G Brandon Chubb with injury designations.
Slye, 23, wasn’t drafted out of Virginia Tech this April and signed with the Giants. He was waived in May before being brought back in July and waived again.
During his four-year college career, Slye made 78 of 108 field goal attempts and 169 of 172 extra points.
