The Carolina Panthers officially signed S Sean Chandler off the Giants’ practice squad on Friday.
Chandler played for Panthers HC Matt Rhule at Temple and should provide some additional depth for the team after it lost starting S Juston Burris to a rib injury this past week.
Chandler, 23, signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2018. He wound up making New York’s active roster the last two seasons.
The Giants cut Chandler during the season last year and he’s been on and off of their roster ever since.
In 2020, Chandler has appeared in three games and recorded one tackle for the Giants.
