The Carolina Panthers announced Sunday that they’ve signed S Damian Parms to a contract and placed TE Wyatt Houstonย on waivers.
Parms, 24, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic back in 2015. He lasted one year in Atlanta before he was waived and later signed by the Bills at the start of the 2016 season.
During his college career, Parms recorded 182 tackles, one sack, an interception, eight pass defenses and three forced fumbles.
Houston, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Utah State following this year’s draft but managed to sign on with the Chiefs a few days later. Unfortunately, Kansas City cut him loose after three days.
The Panthers signed Houston after he cleared waivers in May, making his stay in Carolina short-lived.
During his college career at Utah State, Houston caught 87 passes for 934 yards receiving and nine touchdowns over the course of four years and 37 games.
