Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Panthers have waived WR Fred Ross from their injured reserve list on Tuesday.
Ross, 23, wound up signing on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State following this year’s draft. Ross signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2018 season.
The Panthers waived Ross with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
During his four-year college career at MSU, Ross caught 199 passes for 2,528 yards receiving to go along with 87 rushing yards and 23 total touchdowns over the course of 42 games.
