The Patriots activated RB Sony Michel from the PUP list on Wednesday and he returned to practice, per Ian Rapoport.
Michael underwent surgery on his foot back in May. He’s also dealt with knee issues since entering the NFL.
Michel, 25, was taken with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $9,626,694 contract that includes a $5,081,232 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Patriots to pick up in 2021.
In 2019, Michel appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and rushed for 912 yards on 247 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 12 receptions for 94 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns.
