Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports that WR Mark Clayton visited with the New England Patriots this afternoon.
Clayton has been in discussions with his former team the St Louis Rams but a deal between the two sides isn’t imminent. He has said that he would like to return to the Rams so there’s still a chance he could be back with the team once healthy.
“I would love to stay,” Mark Clayton told Tulsa World. “I love playing with Sam [Bradford]. The organization is great. Coach Spags [Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo], I love him. I love his passion. He’s a real fiery dude. He’s a defensive guy and I play offense. Opposites attract, I guess.”
