Per Doug Kyed, Patriots RB Sony Michel returned to practice and has been designated to return from injured reserve.
This opens up a three-week window for Michel to practice with the team before New England has to add him to the active roster.
Michel, 25, was taken with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $9,626,694 contract that includes a $5,081,232 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Patriots to pick up in 2021.
In 2020, Michel has appeared in three games for the Patriots and rushed for 173 yards on 26 carries (6.7 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 23 yards and one touchdown.
