According to Mike Reiss, the Patriots have placed veteran OL Brian Schwenke on the reserve/retired list.
Reiss mentions that Schwenke has been practicing as the first-team left guard throughout New England’s offseason program.
Schwenke, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2013. Schwenke played out his four-year, $2,624,260 contract with the Titans before signing a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Colts as an unrestricted free agent in 2017.
Unfortunately, the Colts released Schwenke at the start of the 2018 season and he later returned to the Titans and finished out the year in Tennessee. The Patriots signed him to a contract last summer and while he was released coming out of the preseason, they re-signed him a few days later.
New England re-signed him to a one-year contract back in February.
In 2018, Schwenke appeared in three games for the Patriots.
