The New England Patriots officially placed practice squad DL Bill Murray on the COVID-19 list.
This is the second Patriots’ player to test positive for COVID-19 after the news of Cam Newton’s positive test surfaced last week.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Murray, 23, wound up going undrafted out of William & Mary back in April. He later signed a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Patriots.
Unfortunately, Murray was waived coming out of training camp and later re-signed to the team’s practice squad.
