Patriots Place RB Damien Harris On IR, Promote RB J.J. Taylor

The New England Patriots have promoted RB J.J. Taylor to their active roster and placed RB Damien Harris on injured reserve, according to Field Yates

Other roster moves for the Patriots include:

  • Patriots placed DT Beau Allen on injured reserve. (NFLTR)
  • Patriots promoted LB Cassh Maluia. 

Harris, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2019. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $3,406,136 rookie contract that included an $880,136 signing bonus. 

In 2019, Harris appeared in two games for the Patriots and rushed for 12 yards on two carries (3 YPC) and no touchdowns. 

During his college career at Alabama, Harris recorded 477 rush attempts for 3,070 yards (6.4 YPC) and 23 touchdowns to go along with 52 receptions for 407 yards receiving (7.8 YPC) and two touchdowns.
