Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have officially placed RB Sony Michel, WR Mohamed Sanu and special teamer Brandon King on the active/PUP list Sunday.
Michael underwent surgery on his foot back in May.
Sanu is working his way back from ankle surgery.
Michel has dealt with knee issues since entering the NFL.
Michel, 25, was taken with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $9,626,694 contract that includes a $5,081,232 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Patriots to pick up in 2021.
In 2019, Michel appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and rushed for 912 yards on 247 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 12 receptions for 94 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns.
Sanu, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He spent four years in Cincinnati before signing a five-year, $32.5 million contract that included $14 million guaranteed with the Falcons in 2016.
The Falcons traded Sanu to the Patriots for a second-round pick before last year’s deadline.
Sanu stands to make a base salary of $6.5 million in 2020.
In 2019, Sanu appeared in 15 games for the Patriots and Falcons and caught 59 passes for 520 yards receiving and touchdowns. He also rushed for 11 yards.
