The New England Patriots announced Friday that they have signed DL Ufomba Kamalu to their active roster and added OL Tony Adams to their practice squad.
Here’s the Patriots updated practice squad:
- DE Trent Harris
- CB Jomal Wiltz
- QB Danny Etling
- TE Stephen Anderson
- WR Riley McCarron (Injured)
- DE Frank Herron
- LB Calvin Munson
- OT Cole Croston
- WR Damoun Patterson
- OL Tony Adams
Kamalu, 26, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed on to Houston’s practice squad before eventually being called up in November.
The Texans re-signed Kamalu to an exclusive rights contract this past January but he was once again among their final roster cuts. After a brief stint with the Cardinals, Kamalu was signed to the Patriots’ practice squad.
In 2017, Kamalu appeared in nine games for the Texans and recorded six tackles and two sacks.
During his college career at Miami, Kamalu recorded 94 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
