Mike Reiss reports that the Patriots are promoting DE Geneo Grissom from their practice squad to the active roster.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL James Ferentz
- WR Cody Hollister
- DB David Jones
- DB Damarius Travis
- CBÂ Ryan Lewis
- DB Jomal Wiltz
- TE Will Tye
- NT Mike Purcell
Grissom, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He spent a portion of his rookie season on the Patriots’ practice squad before being called up in October.
New England elected to cut Grissom loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad before promoting him a few weeks later. They promoted him to their active roster back in September but eventually waived him.
The Patriots re-signed him to their practice squad last month.
In 2017, Grissom has appeared in four games for the Patriots and recorded one tackle.
