Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots have re-signed CB Jonathan Jones to a one-year restricted contract for the 2019 season on Monday.
The Patriots used a second-round tender on Jones that will cost them $3.095 million for the 2019 season.
Jones, 25, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2016. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and made a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
Jones will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Jones appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and recorded 55 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, a forced fumble and seven pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 73 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
