The Patriots announced Sunday they signed LB Scooby Wright and RB Robert Martin to the active roster.
Wright, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was cut loose a few weeks into the 2016 season before signing on to the Browns’ practice squad.
The Cardinals would later sign him to their active roster towards the end of the 2016 season. Unfortunately, Wright was cut loose at the start of last year and was on and off of the Cardinals’ practice squad.
Arizona elected to move on from Wright in 2018 as they cut their roster down to 53 players. He worked out for the Saints, but didn’t catch on with a team last year.
In 2017, Wright appeared in 10 games for the Cardinals and recorded five tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
