The New England Patriots officially waived DB Cyrus Jones on Saturday.
Jones, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2016. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $4 million contract that included a $1.1 million signing bonus and was set to make a base salary of $814,246 this season when the Patriots waived him coming out of the preseason.
The Ravens later signed Jones to their practice squad before he returned to the Patriots a few weeks ago.
Jones landed on the season-ending injured reserve last year after sustaining torn ACL and meniscus injuries.
In 2018, Jones has appeared in two games for the Patriots and recorded one tackle and 45 punt return yards.
