Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have placed DE Geneo Grissom on waivers Thursday.
Grissom, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He spent a portion of his rookie season on the Patriots’ practice squad before being called up in October.
New England elected to cut Grissom loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad before promoting him a few weeks later.
In 2017, Grissom has appeared in four games for the Patriots and recorded one tackle.
