According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots have waived DL Jerel Worthy, who came over in a trade with the Packers just a few weeks ago.
New England sent the Packers a future seventh-round pick that was reportedly conditional upon Worthy making the 53-man roster, so it appears as though Green Bay will not receive an compensation for the former second-round pick.
Worthy, 24, is coming off of a season-ending ACL injury, so there are some concerns about his ability moving forward. Even so, he should probably find an opportunity somewhere.
