Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that the Patriots have placed OL Chris Baker on waivers to make room for newly acquired LB Jonathan Casillas.
- Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots are sending their 2015 fifth-round pick to the Buccaneers for Casillas and their sixth-round pick.
Baker, 24, signed on with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada back in 2013. He was later placed on waivers as they trimmed their roster down 53 players.
The Patriots wound up claiming him off of waivers after he was cut by the Dolphins.
