The Patriots waived/injured sixth-round TE AJ Derby on Monday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.
Should Derby clear waivers, he would likely revert to the Patriots’ injured reserve list on Wednesday.
Derby, 23, signed a four-year contract worth $2,392,052 with the Patriots after this year’s draft. He stands to make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season.
