ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that New Orleans Saints have stepped in and signed DT Aubrayo Franklin.

New Orleans has revamped their defensive line in the last six and half months with the additions of Sedrick Ellis, Turk McBride, Shaun Rogers and Franklin. A rejuvenated Greg Williams defense should cause plenty of issues in the NFC South.

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that the DT Aubrayo Franklin visited with the San Francisco 49ers yesterday.
We’ve already mentioned that the 49ers have had a rough offseason so far but re-signing Franklin would be a step in the right direction for them.
ESPN’s Mike Sando NFC West blogger writes that the keeping Franklin is a logical move for the team.
Other than 49ers, there really hasn’t been a much interest in Franklin as many would have believed. Teams that are in need of a defensive tackle like the Denver Broncos and the St Louis Rams have decided to bring in some cost efficient options instead of a guy like Franklin. San Francisco may end up being his best option unless another team shows up with a competing offer.
