Raiders CB Nevin Lawson Officially Suspended Four Games

The NFL has officially suspended Raiders CB Nevin Lawson on Monday for the first four games of the 2019 season for a PED violation.

Lawson announced that he was facing a suspension from the NFL last week:

Lawson, 28 is a former fourth-round pick by the Lions out of Utah State back in the 2014 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year, $3,449,349 rookie contract before agreeing to a two-year, $10.3 million contract with the Lions last year.

The Lions released Lawson back in March and he later signed a to a one-year contract worth $3.05 million with the Raiders. 

In 2018, Lawson appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded 53 tackles, one sack, no interceptions and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 91 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
