The Oakland Raiders officially designated Isaiah Johnson to return from injured reserve on Monday.
This officially opens a three-week practice window of time for him to be added to the Raiders’ active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve and miss the remainder of the season.
Johnson, 23, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft by the Raiders. He later signed a four-year, $3.2 million contract with Oakland but was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a facial fracture.
During his college career at Houston, Johnson recorded 115 tackles, four interceptions, and 12 pass defenses over the course of four seasons and 34 games.
