Raiders Have Shopped G Gabe Jackson In Trade Talks

Mike Silver of NFL Media reports that the Raiders have shopped veteran G Gabe Jackson in recent weeks, according to several GMs he’s spoken to.

Silver says that Raiders’ asking price for Jackson “is not high.”

Back in March, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media mentioned that Jackson was a trade candidate to watch this offseason, considering that he has a non-guaranteed contract.

We’ve also seen Raiders DL P.J. Hall come up in trade rumors over the past week or so.

Jackson, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.952 million contract when he agreed to a new five-year, $56 million extension that included $26 million guaranteed with the Raiders in 2017.

Jackson stands to make a base salary of $9.35 million for the 2020 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Jackson would free up $9.6 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2019, Jackson was limited to appearing in 11 games for the Raiders, making 11 starts for them at right guard.
