Raiders HC Dennis Allen One And Done?

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports a source informed him that Raiders owner Mark Davis and GM Reggie McKenzie have already held private talks regarding head coach Dennis Allen’s future with the team.

According to Cole, Allen has done “little or nothing to inspire confidence” this season and he believes that the Raiders should have “stuck with Hue Jackson.”

This is fair criticism considering that the offense that they’ve implemented hasn’t fit their personnel and Allen’s defense unit has been one of the worst in the league. It’s worth mentioning that McKenzie has gutted the roster and they have only a handful of draft picks last year, so it’s not as though he’s been given a fair shot in terms of the players that he had available. With that being said, Allen needs to show dramatic improvement on both sides of the ball next, assuming he’s even around by then.
